Video Tutorial
REFLECTION: This is another project I was pleased to see the outcome. I can see myself having many video tutorials made this way to share with the students. For this project I used CapCut for the first time. I was going to use Adobe Premier but thought it would take a long time, so I asked my daughter if she new an easy to use video editing app and for my surprise she showed me CapCut. I learned how to use the app in a few minutes, editing the videos, adding text, voice over and sound was extremely easy.
Stop Motion Animation
REFLECTION: I was very pleased with the outcome of my Stop Motion animation. I think this is one of those projects where a lot of problem solving happens during the making of the movie. I also think it is a wonderful project to have in the visual arts program. Students are so creative and come up with the most unpredictable and beautiful ideas. I always loved teaching Stop Motion to my 5th graders as the last project of the year leaving them with a special memory from Elementary School. With today's students being tech-savvy and the new apps for Stop Motion being so easy to use, it has become more accessible and possible to have this project in the classroom.
Storyboard
REFLECTION: The storyboard and the Stop Motion Animation were one of my favorites because it is a project I have been using with my students and I'm passionate about it. I think having a storyboard is essential when creating an animation to prepare the storyline and to help when shooting the animation.
Gallery Exhibition
REFLECTION: I was very excited in creating a virtual gallery. I did not know tools like this one existed! I can see myself using it with my students to share their artwork or to study an artist's body of work. The website was a little trick to figure out but overall it was a positive experience.
Lesson Plan
REFLECTION: I had a great time working in collaboration with my classmates on preparing this project. It was a great way to connect with others and exchange knowledge. I was in charge of the step-by-step instruction which came to me very easily since I had been doing it in the classroom for the past years.
App Review
REFLECTION: I'm glad I found the Google Arts and Culture App. It is such a great tool to use in the classroom. There are so many possibilities where I can see it integrated to an art lesson in a K-12th grade classroom. From researching artists, art movements to finding inspiration. It also could be used as an anticipatory set to create the climate of a lesson.
Podcast
REFLECTION: I chose to use Premiere Pro for this project because I already had a rough idea on how to use it. After writing a rough draft for the script, I began selecting the pictures to use for the podcast. The most challenging part of the project for me was to record the voice over. For that I had to learn how to use Audacity, which was easier than I though it would be.
Bitmoji
REFLECTION: I was very pleased to see my on Bitmoji classroom. I have seen my daughter's teacher used it but I never though of having one of my own when I was teaching Art online. I wish I could go back and have one. It would have help me translate important information in a fun way to the students. Also, I was surprised with how easy and fun it was to create the classroom environment.
Website
REFLECTION: I had created websites before but I think Weebly was an easy platform that allowed me to build a function and yet well designed website. I plan in using my weebly website in the future.
